Applications are currently open to apply for DAAD Scholarship Program 2024-2025 in Germany for the academic year 2024-2025. DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) supports a selection of programs of particular interest that are chosen carefully for junior executives from developing countries. The postgraduate courses consist of 1 or 2 years of concentrated study and provide an opportunity to participate in postgraduate education or training for young academically trained professionals from developing countries in their particular fields.

DAAD only provides these scholarships for postgraduate courses and courses are open to all students who are eligible. It is a great opportunity to study in Germany because the scholarships are fully funded and cover almost all the expenses related to studying abroad. For international students, it also offers short-term and 1-year-long research grants. DAAD scholarship does not cover the tuition fee.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate subject.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience is a prerequisite.

  • The last academic degree of applicants should have been completed six years before or less.
  • Candidates should have the nationality of eligible countries. The list of eligible countries can be checked on the official website.

Benefits of DAAD Scholarship Program 

Applicants who will qualify for this scholarship will get the following benefits.

  • A monthly stipend of 850 euros to graduates and 1,200 euros to doctoral applicants will be provided.
  • Allowance for health insurance, accidents, and civil liability will be given.
  • Allowance for monthly rent for all applicants.
  • Expenses to travel except if these expenses are covered by the country of origin or other funding sources.
  • DAAD scholarship does not cover tuition fees.

Requirements

  • Signed application form of DAAD with the current date.
  • She personally signed CV using the sample Europass format with the current date.
  • Letter of motivation addressing your current occupation and explaining your choice of postgraduate program(s).
  • IMPORTANT: if you are applying for more than one postgraduate course (you can apply for maximum 3 courses), you have to submit one motivation letter explaining why you are applying for these specific courses.
  • Recommendation letter from your present employer; the letter should have letterhead, a signature and an official stamp and should be of the current date (not in a sealed envelope).
  • Certificate of Employment from the employer that is evidence of a minimum of two years of relevant work experience after the bachelor’s degree at the time of application and a guarantee of re-employment from your current employer on returning home if possible.

Evidence of Language Skills

  • English – IELTS or TOEFL and The institutional TOEFL is not accepted.
  • German – is required only for courses taught in German.
